Last year, as many of you know, we launched a new program in our ministry that is geared to equip our Bible school students with the tools they need to start their own small business.  The goal of the program is to teach sound financial principals, such as budgeting and wise business practices, as well as giving them hands-on experience developing their gifts and talents into a viable business plan.

All students in the program receive a semester of in class financial training and then move into specific areas of interest with the hopes of starting a small business to help pay down their school debt load, stay current on monthly bills, and save for missions trips.

We’ve seen some students have tremendous success in the program and this semester was no exception.

Please meet Veronica and Christian.  This semester these two classmates joined forces and set out to start a small endeavor in the area of communications.  Both students show strong skill sets in the recording and editing of video and decided to use those talents and skills to make some money.

Through personal contacts in their churches, they were given the opportunity to attend two women’s retreat events to specifically capture the retreat activities.  They then edit the clips and made a short video of the retreat to sell to the ladies that attended.

It was a great success and the ladies were so impressed that they were given the opportunity to present their business idea to all the Women’s Ministries leaders in the Assemblies of God here in El Salvador.

As of today, Christian and Veronica have made $225 to go towards their debts, payments, and missions and are looking forward to acquiring new contracts with many churches in the country.

Please be praying that the Lord will continue to bless our new program and that our students will successfully learn how to sustain the dreams that the Lord has placed in their hearts.

Way to go Veronica and Christian!!
