Is it just me or are the days, months and years flying past us?

We had a great Christmas, this year we had a chance to go to Canada and spend it with family.  We were only two weeks, so time flew by but we appreciated every moment!  It was so good for all of us.  Sophia and Hudson loved being with family.  We don’t get to see them often so we never take it for granted!

However, we have been living in the tropics almost 10 years now sooooo we really aren’t built for the cold anymore….and Ontario was so so cold.  Some days the temperature reached -31C.  A cold day in El Salvador is 24C…it was cold 😭.  Still, our kids and Melissa got into the snow and played around.

It was a whirlwind trip arriving back in El Salvador on Jan 3rd.  Since then we have been prepping for Sophia and Hudson’s new school year, helping host a couple of construction teams and I has been getting the final details ready for a full knee replacement.

That’s right 44 years old and needing a new knee already.  Here is a lesson for any kids out there.  Care for your bodies and you are not invincible.  If I knew then what I know now 😭

The doctor said, for those people who have played years of futbol and combat sports this is common.  Well, for those of you who know me, know that’s exactly what I’ve done. So after 2 full ACL reconstruction surgeries, arthroscopic meniscus surgery and now missing cartilage and chronic arthritis it’s time to get a spare part. 😁

2018 is going to be a monumental year for us. Stay posted as we bring you more, but in the meantime stay safe and appreciate every moment you have.
